Are You Ready for Some Football? (Cool Android App)

I am ready for cool weather and football! NFL has already begun, and yes my Saints (Super Bowl Winners) lost their first exhibition game...minor misstep. I began a few weeks ago searching the Android Market for just the right app to stay updated on my two favorite football  teams, Florida State and the New Orleans Saints. I checked out several and read these comments on other sports apps: app kept running in the background or notifications wouldn't stop or this negative thing or that negative thing, so I kept on searching.

Well, I found it! Sports News Center is just what I was looking for! It is really neat. I have a passing interest in many sports and all sports are right at your finger tips with this app.

You get:

Sports Live Scores
Sports Headlines
NBA
MLB
NFL
NHL
Golf Sports
Autos Sports
Tennis Sports
Soccer Sports
College Sports
Boxing sports...

Sports News Center is very user friendly. Check it out, I think you will be pleasantly surprised! You get ESPN sports news from espn.com, this app has no affiliation with espn.com.

Facebook Places...Tell Everybody Where You Are...NOT!

I have a privacy issue with Facebook as it is and now they are rolling out Facebook Places. Facebook Places is a location based application. Location based apps are the now big thing, just look at the success of FourSquare and Gowalla. Bottom line you tell everybody where you are when you "check in" The location based sites are very popular and tens of thousands of people use them. Me personally, I just don't really like it or understand the why of it. For that matter I don't understand why people have pictures of their children as their Facebook profile?!?! Why would you do that? Oh well more on that some other time.

On Facebook Places your friends can check you in to places, much the same as tagging you in a photo, YIKES! So be sure to set your privacy settings for Facebook Places.

What I am trying to say is keep a check on your Facebook privacy settings with this new Facebook feature: Places, and I will be keeping my eye on the new feature, to see what happens!
